Stop-motion films have always captivated my interest. From Fantastic Mr. Fox to Coraline, there's something about a stop-motion film that makes the viewing experience all the more special. Even as a kid, I was enthralled by the movement that can only be created through stop-motion.
For my Video I final, I was tasked with creating a time-based piece or performance that tells a fabricated history of an everyday object, a person, or a place.

Pictures provide a limited view of reality. They often only capture the moments we want to remember, the bright side. Outsiders view these photos and believe they understand a being's life wholly. The question is: do they?

I now have a newfound appreciation for the amount of work and time that goes into stop-motion development. While the film isn’t perfect, I learned a lot. I’m proud of the work I’ve done and am excited to play with this form of 2D animation again.
